Whats up Everyone!
The last few days here have been pretty exciting for me as regards to work over here. My normal day would include having accomplished between one to three tasks a day, spending most of the time in my office. Not complaining though. Techs and Admin's that work in an IS department know what I am talking about. On Friday, I started to do the fixed assets on the computer that took most of the day. Fixed assets are records of all the inventory that we have from New Windsor to Elgin. For the last couple of weeks, I had recorded all the hardware inventory here at the center. Now I just had to make sure there is a record of it in the fixed assets system. Then on Monday, it was more of the same on the fixed assets. That took another day. On Tuesday, Francie and I set up 4 PC's for the Brethren Disaster meeting that are taking place today and tomorrow. Today we setup 3 laptops for them. Todays was an interesting day though because it was the first time Francie was in a bad mood but still had a lot of fun working with her anyway. We had to install a printer in the warehouse for the Material Resources crew. That was really fun (yeah right!). We spent all dam morning trying to feed paper into this printer and made sure it printed right. That really sucked but it was a job. Like I told one of my friends here at the center, "even though a job may suck and irritate me, I still still love it". I gives me something to do. Better to be pissed off at something, then not have anything to be pissed off about. LOL. The rest of the week is going to be pretty busy and I can't wait either.
This past weekend I got a chance to watch the movie "Transformers". What can I say but it was freakin Awesome. That movie kicked ass and I can't remember a movie I cheered through the whole movie. If you haven't seen it, I recommend it to all your friends and family to check it out. You won't be disappointed.
Anyway, I feel that there are a lot more things ahead to talk about. There is more work to talk about and inform you all in what actually goes on in the best department to work for: Information Services. Peace!
