Well...

Hey People:

This week was a slow work week but a good one anyway. The most exciting thing at work this week was getting our new Server in. Francie and I were talking about getting a new server for quite some time now and finally she ordered it sometime last month and it arrived last Monday. I look forward to working with it in the middle of next week. Other than that I helped Francie organize her office a little bit. Looks a lot better than it did. I went down to the warehouse and helped a couple of employee's with a few of their issues. We got two new Optiplex 745 PC's that I am prepping up for our Building and Grounds Director and our Brethren Disaster Ministries coordinator. That was pretty much the week in IS. This week, Francie is off to the west coast for the week, visiting new granddaughter. I am going to take care of business for her here just like last time when she was gone.
This past Wednesday was one of my friend and unit member's birthday, Jillian Baker. Happy Birthday to her. The first Sunday in January I returned to church on the Sunday services. I haven't been to church in weeks (with the exception of Christmas Eve). This past Sunday was a first: I went to two different services. One service in Westminster and the other in Union Bridge. Union Bridge will be my main church as long as I am in New Windsor. I like it and it reminds me of back home. Services are a like, the pastor is real nice and the people are friendly. As of matter of fact, there is a movie night on the 25th of this month that I plan on attending. Then the following weekend, they are planning on attending a NCAA Division 1 college basketball game here in Maryland. And you I am down to go.
Now I got to talk about the bulls**t I seen last night. My favorite football team let me down again in two straight years. Once again, just like last year, I was so pissed off I thought I was going to kill over. Dallas Cowboys had the best season in over 11 years. They had taken their division and had home field through the playoffs. Explain how the hell can they loose to the f**kin New York Giants. I just don't get it. This is not an excuse but Tony Romo needs to keep his head on the playoffs and worry about taking Jessica Simpson to Mexico when the dam season is over with. They did this s**t last year. They play pretty well enough to get into the playoffs and then the f**k up at the end of the season. I just don't get it. Well like they say, always next year. And then San Diego beat Indianapolis. That didn't sit to well with me either because I was looking forward to the Brady vs. Manning game once again. But next week, the Patriots are going to destroy the f***in Chargers and I am going to love it. And then when it is all said and done, the Patriots are the best team ever and Tom "MVP" Brady is without a doubt the best QB that has ever played the game. At least the best that I have ever seen with my own eyes. Much love goes out the Brett Farve. Farve is still great and is going to beat the f**kin Giants next week. There going to put them in their place, I believe that. On a good note in basketball, the LA Lakers have won the last 10 of the last 11 games with a 6 game winning streak. Kobe playing like the best player in the world again and the surprise play of Andrew Bynum. Bynum is becoming one of the best centers in the game. Just hope his injury doesn't slow him down. Go Lakers and the motherf**kin Cowboys need to wake the hell up and win a playoff game once in a while.
This weekend I am supposed to be going to Washington, DC. I haven't been to D.C since 1995 and it is going to be great. I am going to be staying the weekend with my friends from my unit and other unit members there at the BVS house. I have been looking forward to this for a long time and hopefully I can come back refreshed and ready to go for the rest of the first year here in New Windsor. This is part building my social life back up that I promised myself before year's end that I would not do what I did the last two months of 2007. Most people that read my blog are probably asking themselves: Does Jay have a life? Well I really felt that other than my job, my life has been based on working and going home. And nothing in between. Thats all going to change. This weekend is a major start. Lots of stuff happening this year and it starts in DC.
Well I guess I will head out. Peace until the next time
